Jared is a master at all things technical and mysterious about the voice. I met Jared when I was a freshman at the Boston Conservatory. I hadn’t had any formal vocal training and was excited to absorb. The best part of Jared’s training is the ability to meet each singer where they are. He takes what he knows of the voice on an anatomical level; how healthy sound is made across the board. Then he pairs that with how each voice shows up given its lived experience. He treats both aspects as equal parts important. These two components combined curate concrete means to explain the abstract; how to sing with freedom and finesse.

Jared is simply the best vocal teacher I’ve ever worked with. He is so understanding of where I think my own limitations are, and gently pushes me past them. I leave every lesson saying “that was the easiest it’s ever been” to make a sound that I previously deemed hard for me, or even impossible… I always feel like the songs I work on with Jared are delivered more musically and authentically after I work with him on them. He is a master at distinct styles - of course, musical theater, but also pop. He supports keeping the parts of my voice that make me unique and true to my style, while also incorporating technique so that I can sustain in a career in what I love so much.

Jared was recommended to me by some cast members when I joined Six on Broadway. I had been dealing with some extreme vocal anxieties for several months and, with the added pressure of making my Broadway debut, was eager to find a vocal coach who understood me. From day one, Jared instilled a calmness and a confidence that we could work through everything as a team. He celebrated my strengths and patiently worked with me from the ground up to release and strengthen my voice. His passion, communication and in-depth knowledge of the anatomy has helped me feel safe to explore, fail and succeed in the room.

Jared Trudeau is a true master of the voice. Not only does he teach you the mechanics of how to use your voice, he will help stretch your vocal agility and widen your vocal range. He will help you maintain a healthy voice while doing an 8 show week for years on end. He is THE person to learn from if you want to achieve success in this industry and also a really fantastic human!

Singing with Jared has greatly expanded the way I use and care for my instrument. In less than a year, Jared has helped me develop more range, endurance, and vocal sustainability doing eight shows a week on Broadway.
